WEBSITE TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

Effective Date: 17 August 2026 | Jurisdiction: England & Wales

Welcome to The Quiet Edit Co. (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of any home fragrance and lifestyle goods from us. By placing an order or using our site, you agree to be bound by these

Terms.
1. Business Information & Contact
The Quiet Edit Co. is operated from Whiteoaks, Knaresborough Road, Ripley, Harrogate, HG3 3AU, United Kingdom. If you need to contact us regarding your order or these terms, please email us at hello@thequieteditco.co.uk
2. Basis of Sale & Contract Formation
When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase the goods specified. A legally binding contract between us is formed only when we dispatch your order and send you a shipping confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order prior to dispatch (for example, in the event of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity).
3. Products, Pricing & Availability
Handcrafted Nature: Our products (including candles, reed diffusers, and room mists) are handcrafted. Minor variations in shade, wax finish, or natural fragrance characteristics are inherent to artisanal production and do not constitute defects.
Pricing: All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of standard UK taxes where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout. We reserve the right to update prices without prior notice, but price changes will not affect
orders already accepted. Product Care & Safety: It is your responsibility to follow all provided safety instructions and product care guides (e.g. trimming candle wicks, placing diffusers on stable/protected surfaces, keeping out of reach of children and pets). We accept no liability for damage caused by misuse or failure to follow product safety instructions.
4. Delivery & Risk
We deliver within the UK and selected international destinations as indicated at checkout. Delivery estimates provided at checkout are guidelines only and not guaranteed delivery dates. Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery to the specified delivery address. Title (ownership) passes to you once full payment has been received.
5. Cancellations, Returns & Statutory Rights
Your right to cancel, return, or claim refunds for faulty goods is governed strictly by our separate Return & Refund Policy, which operates in full compliance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK consumer legislation. Subject to this, our total liability to you for any loss or damage arising under these terms shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods ordered.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland if you reside there).
